Members of The Workspace participated in a number of successful networking events over the final three months of 2018. These events are popular as a way for our members to learn about each other’s businesses, forge new connections and simply chat, relax and get to know one another.
Blackheath
Members at our Blackheath branch enjoyed a casual pizza and beer theme, socialising and enjoying the early summer weather in the branch’s outdoor relaxation area.

The event was a great opportunity for networking, and our members loved it. We’re also pleased it allowed some of our newer members to get to know other members of our community.
Centurion
Members at our Centurion branch had some fun with a “Wild West” theme, perfect for helping people break the ice and get to know one another.

Some of our members really got into the spirit of the event, posing for selfies with our “Wanted” frame!

In keeping with the theme, members enjoyed some typical “cowboy” fare, with burgers, corn chips, corn, beer and other beverages.
Members complimented the food and décor, and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Thanks so much to those members who took the time to prepare talks for us about their businesses.

Midrand
At our Midrand branch, members enjoyed a backyard summer braai theme. What better way to relax and get to know one another!

Introductions were made by the branch managers and, as well as socialising, many of our members exchanged business ideas and telephone numbers.
Our members commented that the food was tasty and that the event was a good way to get to know others working at the branch, as well as a nice end to the year.
Morningside Manor
Like at Midrand, our Morningside Manor branch decided on a backyard summer braai theme, ideal for wrapping up the year in South African style.

Sunninghill
Staff at our Sunninghill branch chose to break the ice with a little game. Everyone participating in the event pulled a piece of toilet paper from a roll. The number of toilet paper sheets they got determined how many things to tell everyone about themselves and their companies. The game got everything off to a great start and added some fun.

Our Sunninghill members also enjoyed a tempting range of finger foods and sweet treats.

It was great to hear from so many of our members about their businesses.
We were delighted to get positive feedback from our members. Neo from Ark Design said, “It was great. I loved the food. You guys should keep it up”.
Ntsoaki from Glad Africa Foundation said, ” It was so creative and nice” – and here’s what Ryan and Ruwayne from Think Tank had to say: “Loved it. It was so nice as everyone had a chance to speak.”
Sarah from HB Realty said, “I loved the game part and the food was delicious.”
