Our Morningside Manor, Randburg, Pietermaritzburg and Chadwick, Wynberg branches all hosted successful networking functions during October and November.
Branch members got to enjoy a variety of tasty treats, along with the opportunity to network and learn about each others’ businesses.
Breakfast networking at our Randburg and Wynberg branches
Our Randburg branch hosted a breakfast bar with fruit salad, yoghurt and muesli bowls, perfect for the warmer weather. At our Chadwick branch, members also enjoyed a breakfast bar with muffins, sandwiches and fruit sticks.
Pie and ale (always popular!) at Morningside Manor
At Morningside Manor, our members enjoyed pies and ale tastings – always a popular combination, and a good way for members to break the ice and get to know one another.
Waffles and wraps in Pietermaritzburg
Our Pietermaritzburg branch had a waffle bar, as well as delicious wraps.
Why we host networking events
“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”
That may be an exaggeration, but it’s true that in the modern business environment, networking can help independent professionals and small businesses. It’s a way to find trustworthy service providers and suppliers, to let others know what you’re offering and to learn about current business developments.
Often it’s connections made in informal settings that lead to valuable business relationships.
At all the branches that hosted networking events, our members enjoyed taking some time off from their usual work routines, and forging business connections with the other entrepreneurs, consultants and small businesses that use our work spaces.
