The Workspace Supports Phepha Solutions Group at Coca-Cola’s Supplier Development Conference

Last year, we were delighted when Minatlou Trading 251 secured third place in our 2018 Entrepreneur Competition. Since then, the company has been operating from The Workspace.

Minatlou Trading 251 is now undergoing a name change, to become Phepha Solutions Group.

Support at Coca-Cola’s Supplier Development Conference

Staff from The Workspace were delighted to don Phepha Solutions T-shirts to help support the company and get its new name out at this year’s Supplier Development Conference, hosted by Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA).

Held annually, the conference is intended as a platform for small to medium entrepreneurs, enabling them to network with government and participating corporate organisations.

Alongside the conference, over a hundred SMEs, including Minatlou Trading 251, mounted exhibitions to showcase their offerings.

About Minatlou Trading 251/Phepha Solutions Group

Minatlou Trading 251, soon to be called Phepha Solutions Group, manufactures women’s personal protective equipment (PPE) and corporate uniforms.

The company has a BBBEE level 1 rating and is proudly black, female-owned. It was established by Mpho Patience Mpatane – Mphokie for short – in 2010.

In 2018, Minatlou Trading 251 won third place in our Entrepreneur Competition, run in partnership with Mi-Way Business Insurance. One part of the prize was free office space at The Workspace.

Since then, we’ve been delighted to get to know Mpho and her company better, and to watch them grow from strength to strength.

When interviewed, Mpho noted that she founded her business because she wanted to start and build something to be proud of, while empowering other women.

She also said that among the things she loves about South Africa is “our resilience and the ability to create our own solutions, given the opportunity.”
